26-27 Wildcats Contract

Charlton Wildcats Travel Basketball Contract

Player & Parent Agreement – 2026–2027 Season

Town Rec League Participation

All travel players in grades 4–6 must participate in the town recreational league to support its growth, unless they make a CMS or another middle school basketball team.

Team Fee

  • Season Fee: $220

  • Discount: $25 for players who also participate in the town rec league (final cost: $195)

Fee covers: gym rentals, referees, league costs, game balls, coaching film review system, and other miscellaneous team expenses.

Uniforms

Uniforms are not included in the team fee. Please order as soon as possible to ensure your player has a uniform before the season begins.

Order Instructions:

  • Visit the Wildcats official uniform store: https://stollersports.com/store/index.php?productCateg=168

  • Select:

    • Charlton Basketball Custom Sublimated Reversible Jersey

    • Charlton Basketball Custom Sublimated Reversible Shorts

  • New players: Wait for coach-assigned jersey number before ordering

  • Returning players joining a new team: Confirm your existing jersey number with your coach before ordering a replacement uniform or using that number with a new team. Seniority in the Wildcats program wins when there's a conflict

Travel Basketball Commitment

  • Playing time is not guaranteed for any player

  • By accepting a roster spot, players and families are committing to make Wildcats practices and games a priority during the basketball season (December–March).

Code of Conduct (Players & Parents)

  • No yelling at, confronting, or arguing with referees.
  • Parents should not coach players from the sidelines. Please allow our coaches to coach.
  • Concerns about coaching, playing time, or team decisions should not be addressed with coaches immediately before, during, or after a game.
  • 24-Hour Rule: Parents must wait at least 24 hours after a game or incident before contacting a coach about a concern.
  • Concerns should first be discussed respectfully with the coach. If an issue cannot be resolved, contact the Charlton Wildcats Directors.
  • Players, parents, and spectators are expected to represent Charlton appropriately at all practices, games, and tournaments.

Violations may result in removal from practices, games, or the program.

Season Information

  • Practices may begin in late October or early November, with the regular practice schedule generally beginning in December. Coaches will communicate team-specific schedules.

  • Recording Games: Games may be recorded for coaching, player development, highlights, and Wildcats social media. Families who do not want their child featured in publicly posted photos or video should notify the Wildcats Directors by email.

  • Registration: Players selected for a roster will receive registration and payment instructions after team selections are finalized.

Competitive Program

Our goal is to field competitive teams while also preparing players for the next level of competition.

  • Rosters are dynamic from season to season. Returning players are not guaranteed a roster spot, and players may move between teams or be cut based on tryout evaluations and program needs.
  • When multiple teams exist within a division, players and coaches may be moved between teams when appropriate to best align talent, team fit, competitiveness, and player development.
  • Roster and team-placement decisions are made with the overall goals of the player, team, and Wildcats program in mind.
  • Players are expected to work hard, support their teammates, respond positively to coaching, and continue developing regardless of their role or playing time.

Agreement

Please review this agreement with your player before accepting a roster spot.

By selecting “Accept,” the parent/guardian acknowledges that they and their player have reviewed, understand, and agree to the expectations outlined above, including Recreational Basketball participation requirements, fees, uniforms, attendance and commitment expectations, playing time, code of conduct, roster decisions, and program goals.

Selecting “Decline” will forfeit the offered roster spot.
